Poker is the best sport to go for
Since the need for better behavior among poker players has become a survival move for the poker community, an Ethics Code has been created for every member of the World Poker Association, which will help not only separate criminal players from serious ones, but also protect the reputation of poker in the future.
From a realistic point of view, there are countless articles and books stressing on the importance of behaving ethically at the table, not only for maintaining good poker effort throughout a game but also to do better in your game and aim to win more money. The phrase “you can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar” could not be truer in this case. However, there are also many articles accounting how players still refuse to apply the basic rules of poker etiquette and continue to annoy fellow players and viewers at the table; an obvious example: Phil Helmuth. Phil has said many times people love to see his brat side when playing, and his sponsors have made sure he always pleases the audience with a classic tantrum. Since being a big baby is Hellmuth’s signature behaviour.
Word first emerged from the Senator’s camp that he was marshaling support for regulation of online poker effort in early December. Analysts viewed it as a payback bill for the large Las Vegas casinos that had supported Reid’s brutal 2010 re-election campaign, speculation that gained additional credibility when AGA head Frank Farenkopf offered his public support for Reid’s bill in mid-December.
Multiple drafts of Reid’s bill circulated in the press, and a fairly consistent pattern emerged: Regulation would be a process that sought to strike a balance between Federal oversight and State choice, a process that would create a market built to favor the major US gambling interests, and a process that would seek to severely limit the ability of unlicensed operators to offer online poker to US players. Reid’s effort was ultimately abandoned in the face of harsh opposition, but that defeat raised a new question for the online poker industry: What now? Reid’s bill wasn’t simply a trial balloon – the drafts of the bill represented a detailed legislative undertaking with various concessions for major stakeholders.
Simple Steps towards Internet Security
In the past two entries, we looked into the importance of Cloud PBX security in the light of ComputerWorld’s An Interactive Eguide on Enterprise Security. Given the vulnerability of Internet security and common virtual PBX devices such as smartphones, the next question would be what should we do about it?
I don’t belong to the traditional purists who are totally paranoid about virtual services and new technology. I don’t think it’s really practical to tell businesses and individuals to never download smartphone applications or use the cloud. New technology would always have its glitches, but these new tech problems didn’t stop the analogue telephone from going viral in every household right? First things first, we have to take the issue of hosted phone system security seriously.
Portals, security and back-up measures have to be planned carefully. Use your service provider’s security system (make sure they have one). What do you do in case there’s a power outage? Do you have emergency power back-up? Also, consider making a copy of your important data to a secure third party storage. Test and retest your security system periodically and troubleshoot immediately.
Change the default password and make each of them unique. A hack into one of your accounts can lead to a hack of your other accounts if you don’t have a different password for each one. Choose strong passwords, and change them once in a while. This includes passwords to your email, virtual voicemail and smartphones connected to your communication system.
Add the smartphone apps that you only need. Keep only the most necessary apps and be wary of apps that automatically share information unconnected to the app’s features.
While this is not an exhaustive list of how you can secure virtual PBX phone systems, they’re basic and important factors to your cloud security.
Science and Technology – Definition by Real Life Examples
How someone could define what is Science and Technology?
Science is search for the profound knowledge. Scientists investigate the world around us. They observe how things work and develop ideas about ways to make them work better. Sometimes they try to test an idea to explain how something works. Scientists perform experiments to find out how things work. The knowledge that they discover is useful for many things. It can help to build new machines. It can help scientists to develop new medicines or cure a disease. Technology is the use of scientific knowledge to create new things.
Then what is an Inventor?
An inventor is a person who creates a new idea or device to perform a task. An invention is the new technology created. An inventor with a new idea or design for an invention may decide to have the idea protected. The idea gets protection from the law in a paper called a patent. A patent prevents other people from making, using, or selling the new idea without permission from the inventor. Some inventions are simply a better way of doing or building something. They may improve an existing technology. Other inventions are much more complicated.
Today’s technology has been in the process of development for thousands of years. New inventions are constantly changing how people work and play. They change how people think and live. The future constantly brings us even more changes. This will happen as we continue to learn about the world.
Do we depend on science and technology?
What did you do today? Did you talk on the telephone? Did you ride in a car or on a bus? Did you use a computer or turn on a light? If you did any of these things, you used technology.
Almost everybody uses some form of technology at work, home, or school. Computer programmers use computer technology to write a computer program. People may write letters using a computer program called a word processor. Many people work in the entertainment industry. Camera operators use television and motion-picture cameras. They use them to make TV shows and movies. Disc jockeys, or DJs, play records and CDs on the radio.
Scientists use all sorts of technology to study the Earth and the Universe. Businesses often have telephones, fax machines, and computers. Graphic designers use desktop publishing programs to create books and magazines. Doctors frequently use medical technology. They use it to treat injuries, illnesses, and diseases such as cancer. Pilots fly airplanes and helicopters. Who knows what jobs will be created by new technologies in the future!
